The traditional chillum
The conical shaped traditional chillum is one of the oldest and most original smoking devices. Coming from India it is smoked between the folded hands and is in use on all continents. Originally it was made of clay or wood. Back Leaf also offers traditional chillums made of glass, ceramics and stone.
The Bong Glass Chillum
A bong glass chillum is a downpipe with an integrated bowl, which leads into the Bong's water reservoir via a standard ground system. The norms SG14 (14.5mm) and SG18 (18.8mm) are common. Rarer is the standard ground joint SG 29 (29.2mm). Buying a glass chillum, not only the matching standard ground fitting must be considered, but also the length of the chillum. This is measured from the top edge of the cut to the end of the downpipe (ie without the head). Black Leaf features simple chillums and chillums with slit diffusors to break the smoke into small bubbles. These have a larger surface and therefor a better cooling effect. If you are using a glass chillum, you should make sure that your bong is equipped with a kick hole. For bongs without kickhole we recommend an adapter with attachable bowl. Simply pull the head out of the adapter after inhaling, to suck the smoke out of the bong.
Adapter with attachable bowl or Chillum?
With the combination of an adapter with attachable bowl you can change the bowls for smoking different kind of substances. It is also possible to put a pre-cooler or activated carbon filters between the adapter and the bowl. Thumb up fort he adaper solution.

Everybody knows the annoyance, if the glass breaks when cleaning the chillum and there is no substitute at hand. Black Leaf now offers a solution for this case and on the move. Aluminum and silicone chillums. Both are variable in length. The silicone chillums have a glass head.
