Tips are placed at the end of a joint to prevent tobacco contamination in the mouth. Mainly of sheets of card or pre-cut booklets, bleached or unbleached, straight or conical, gummed or perforated, also available glass. Filters (Roches) are to protect against tobacco and/or hash crumbs from entering the mouth plus they also reduce harmful substances in the smoke.

Meist aus Papier, als Blatt oder vorgedreht, gebleicht oder ungebleicht, gerade oder konisch, gummiert oder perforiert, auch aus Glas. Filter sind Vorsätze zum Schutz gegen Tabakkrümel, die zusätzlich Schadstoffe im Rauch reduzieren.
